Nothing like a friendly little death glare to make you feel welcome.
Y’know, I think Sleet just might be big enough to ride (if he was amenable, of course.) Wild speculation and wishful thinking says Andrea will ditch the horse and become a dragon rider. I can hope, right?
Unfortuately, wyvern cannot be ridden. For one, they are hollow-boned like birds and are very light for their size. The added weight of a human would drag them down (their flight muscles also aren’t as developed as a solid-boned great dragon- the only reason younger great dragons can fly). Besides the weight problems… unless a wyvern’s horns were cut down, their rider would either get stabbed or knocked off every time the wyvern turned their head, since the horns are as long as their body and with their heads thrust forward in flight, the horns would be on either side of the rider.
Lee- occupation: hope crusher 😛
(Now an also hollow-boned elf and a wyvern with cut down horns might be a possibility…. but what are the chances?)
Okay, so Sleet’s out, but why not Arra? Like you said, he’s got him some solid bones, he won’t break under a human’s weight, yes? And when he’s too big to fly, he can always walk. And by then he’d be able to carry a whole battalion of humans, but that’s besides the point.

I guess you’ll have to wait and see if that ever happens… 😉
Well, you could always ride Sleet when not in flight, right?
