Poor giant bird-ram, just wants to please his papa and he gets left behind D:
Oh, and Sleet, too. The whole kidnapping thing, that… that really stinks. Dragonnapping? Naw, that just calls to mind a sleeping dragon pup.
Another lovely page to start the day right! Thanks, Lee, for another smile :3
(Pokemon news! I managed it! All 718 of ’em. I very nearly broke down to ask you for Shaymin, since it’s event-exclusive and therefore not tradeable on the GTS… but my friend had one that somehow wouldn’t transfer, so I was able to find another that would transfer to Y off of 5th gen’s GTS, *somehow*. So psyched! And suddenly wondering what else to do…)
Yeah, there doesn’t feel like there’s much for me to do now in pokemon. I’m tired of shiny hunting and have only caught 1 shiny since getting the charm (swablu in a horde battle). Since I don’t battle competitively, I think it’s time for me to find a new game to play. Or you know… actually work on my comics. XP
Hmm, well color me embarrassed. Kazu sounds like a masculine name to me, especially by Japanese-esque naming conventions that seem to pop up in the comic, plus I remember you also like Japanese if Easily Amused is anything to judge by. On top of that, *generally* females of a species don’t grow horns the males are famous for, so myeh. I feel justified in my assumption, even if it was wrong 😛 (She’s a very handsome lady-beast, regardless of reader confusion.)
Congrats on the shiny Swablu! It and Altaria are two of my favorite Pokemon from Gen 3, and the shiny coloration’s pretty nifty, too! I don’t know what I’d trade you for it, though; roughly half my shinies have the OT of Lee.
I enjoy the occasional online battle in Pokemon, but I’m also super-competitive about things I’m good at, including Pokemon, and always feel a little down whenever I lose. I also babysit a kid that plays Pokemon, and he’s also competitive, so I feel obliged to keep improving my team so I don’t lose. He’s actually got a pretty scary Aerodactyl that almost always scores at least one kill on me, and I went ahead and taught him how scary Kangaskhan can be, so he got one of his own. (Kid doesn’t know how EV’s work, though, heh heh heh….. I’m evil sometimes.)
Anyways, I’ve heard good things about Zelda: A Link Between Worlds if you haven’t already played it. The Fire Emblem series as a whole is also a good turn-based strategy RPG, along with the Tales of… series, such as Tales of Symphonia or Tales of Vesperia. Another game I’ve heard great things about is Skylanders, despite it being a huge money sink with buying new characters and such. Failing everything, you can always download a ROM and play such shenanigans as randomized Emerald Version. (And by randomized, I mean just about everything is randomized, individually per save file. What shows up where, the types of Pokemon species, etcetera. A Bug Typed Ponyta showing up while Surfing? Why not?)
Kazue is the feminine name, Kazuo the masculine. Just plain Kazu means ‘harmony,’ I believe. I’m not as into anime, manga, and Japanese stuff as I used to be in my late teens/ early twenties. It was kind of a phase I went through that I’m just about over. :/
I do have plenty of video games to play. In fact, I’m more into collecting them than playing them, especially DS/DSi games (I probably have 100+ DS games, not including DSi Ware games). So I’ve no shortage to choose from, I just have a hard time getting into a lot of them. 😛 I need to get my act together, too and start being more creatively productive which means less games and more art/ writing time.
That’s an impressive library of games. I’ve got about 3 DS games and 1 3DS games, and no DSi Ware. (Pokemon White, Ghost Trick and Okamiden for DS, and Pokemon Y is the extent of my 3DS library, not counting the Mii Plaza DLC. Our Wii / Wii U library is similarly lackluster.) I don’t have a steady source of income yet and my parents are done buying games for me, so there’s tons of games I want but can’t afford, such as ALL OF THE POKEMON EVER, and all of the Zelda, and Bravely Default, and all the games I suggested up there… oh, and more than a few MMOs out there that I wanna play. All the fun stuff’s too expensive for me D:
If you’re going to invest in any 3DS games in future, my biggest recommendation is Tales of the Abyss. I bawled my eyes out for hours after beating it. Any game that can evoke that much emotion from me is an instant favourite. In fact, Abyss has become my all-time favourite game, beating out Okami and Wind Waker for the top spot (though I am still very fond of those two).
Have you explored getting used games on Amazon or Ebay? You can sometimes find great games dirt cheap. Used games make up about 90% of my collection because they cost so much less. Even Gamestop has good games in their DS bargain bins sometimes, like Dragon Quest titles.
At this stage of my life, I don’t have access to a credit card for such frivolous purchases as video games, so I haven’t looked into Amazon or Ebay. I actually got myself a seasonal gig at GameStop this past holiday season, and honestly the DS bin at the place near me is kind of intimidating in its clutter. I’ll definitely have to look into it more and not focus so much on the Pokemon titles that I’m missing. (For being such a Pokénerd, it’s almost surprising that I’ve only managed to fill the national dex in this gen.)
With the whole emotional response thing, I’m kinda easy to get the waterworks going on. Ghost Trick? Bawling. Okami? Bawling. Admittedly cheesy anime with a predictable turn of events? Bawling. (I get angry at myself for crying so easily, sometimes.) Naturally, I’m a horrible judge of games because I try not to over-think them and just enjoy them, same with most shows I watch.

Kazu is female. 😉

Holy wall of text, Batman. This got long. Oops.

Yay! Super excited to see a new page. I really feel sorry for Kira! Having to leave behind his best friend. :(. Awws!
Thank you! ^^ I’m always so happy when my comics make people excited!
