I’m Deleting my Social Media Accounts One by One
I know it’s been really quiet, but I’m still around. I have, however, been systematically deleting my social media accounts. Recently I deactivated my accounts on Facebook, DeviantArt and Twitter, and will get around to removing my work from Instagram and Webtoons, eventually. Why? Well, mostly due to privacy concerns and the toxicity of social media. Corporate internet seems to be getting more dystopian by the day, and I don’t like feeding into it. I just want to make art and write stories without worrying about who’s stealing my personal information, tracking my data, or combing through old comments and posts to learn everything about me.
This website, however, will remain for as long as I can afford the hosting costs.
Anyway, I’m still alive, still chugging away on prose projects that won’t be fit to share for a good long time, and trying to spend a lot less time online. If you need/want to contact me, you can always reach me through email (check the about page) or join my discord server, which is in the left sidebar (or the menu on mobile). I will have things to share again, eventually, but I’m still working through burnout and figuring out what the new direction of my artistic career will be, and I have no idea how long that will take.
I can completely understand where you’re coming from on that, Lee…
I’m still eager and available for any Beta work or gut checks you need on your written works! Hope all is well! <3
Hi! Yeah, I can relate with not caring about social media, anymore. I’m glad you’re still around and I hope you can get through that burnout and come out stronger. I’m always glad to see when you update here! Good luck!
